The 21st

I was never the big on birthday type. I would always just treat it like any other day and let the people around me decide what to do about it. Like every year I was unprepared for this day. So yeah, I just had an intimate  dinner with two of my closest friends somewhere north the night before my birthday. Then had a small celebration hence brought some food to the office because I went to work on my birthday but was allowed to go home early so I can spend some time with the fambam YAY!

Anyway, had to post this photo just to commemorate my becoming and unbecoming. I'd like to think that a lot has changed about me over the years and hopefully it's for the better. I'm 21 now and I know a bunch of great things is set for me to experience. I promise to look forward to that and to grab every chance I could get to a good good life.

I wish I had something better in mind to wish about and not "sana po hindi ako tumaba pagkain ko nitong nutella pizza na ito" haha! Sorry na! unprepared nga ako diba so pati wish ko impromptu lang.
Thank you to my friends for this sweet pizza surprise and that awesome song that was played when the waiters served this. :) Thanks to everyone as well  who remembered and made this day special. lofyah!

FIRST PAYDAY NEWSFLASH!

It's the 31st of July year 2013 today and I finally received my first official salary. haha! I just thought about sharing it. It has been a month since I started working for Vans and honestly I am still walking on my toes. Hopefully, i'd be able to fully grasp all the ins and outs of my work soon. Anyway, nothing really special about this post. I am very much elated and was quite excited about receiving the fruits of my labor but all that got replaced in a snap when I checked my facebook account and found myself being tagged on this photo:

hahah! yeah! This is what really made my day. Thanks to my awesome friend who made this possible. I hope you know that you made the fan girl in me tear up with one eye because of pure bliss and kilig. hahah! I take back what I said this blog is now supremely special. LOL! :) #Julielmo #ElmoMagalona #JulieAnneSanJose

P.S.  I hope I could blog more and update this space as much as I can.
Dear self, I know your work eats time but you should never forget to go out there and do awesome stuff with your life.

We Keep On...

Sunday, a J. M. kind of night. I got so bored I played with pictures again then went for a food trip with my awesome sister. :)

A Normal Girl's Crown

(c) Jari San Miguel - she also fixed and styled my hair in this photo.

It was just late last year when I decided to mess with my virgin hair. I remember how I was always scared when someone would do something with my hair even a haircut is quite scary for me. Never really had the perfect silky long hair growing up, so I did not pay much attention on it. I don't even brush or fix it when I go out, I like thinking that my hair is low maintenance but then again there's nothing good to maintain. (haha!) I would always have the mid-length messy haircut so it would be easy for me, though it has always been my dream to have a long curly hair. (feeling princess) It was really a struggle for me to grow a long hair cause it takes a while and I don't have the patience for it.Some girls are lucky that their hair grow faster than others, apparently I am on the unlucky group. Once I feel like it's out of shape  and that I am bored with it I would go and let someone cut it. A new haircut is equals a big make-over. Then, I discovered that cutting is not the only option on earth. After years of training (hahaha!) the long wait is over I finally gained the strength to go through  treatments and let my hair absorb some chemicals. (*claps conquered a fear) I was encouraged by my sister and a friend that said "when it comes to hair go lang, kahit ano sige" . It is actually quite liberating and addictive once you start experimenting with it. I've had it cellophaned, colored and bleached.

Anyways, I am just blogging about this cause I am wondering what to do next with my hair. I am thinking of getting a new color or bleaching the ends more to emphasize the ombre effect that I have right now and maybe have it dip-dyed as well. Hopefully, I can decide sooner. Oh, by the way experimenting helped me grow my hair longer cause I didn't have to cut and cut and cut it every time I get bored with it. :)

Lady for a Day

It is not everyday that I graduate from college so it's worth trying to be lady-like.
To the hopes of looking classy and not trashy in black. :)

Perfect Guy

Oh my, sorry for this solid fan girl/ daydreamer post but here it goes.
I came across this photo of my forever crush Elmo Magalona on facebook and
I just couldn't stop myself from sharing that this photo pretty much sums up
who my dream guy is huhu... and it's not just because it's Elmo on the photo.

It's the..
(1) The cute little dog. -because I love dogs and it would really make me happy if  "he" does as well. I think guys that are good with pets are sensitive and caring.
(2) The guitar.- doesn't it make him look so sexy playing his instrument and just get lost in his music. Also, the "when guys write/sing a song for you" doesn't it make you feel like a princess and besides it makes you immortal when someone writes a song about you. (at least that's how I see it)
(3) The Sando.- I really have a "thing" for guys who can pull off the "sando look". Claps for them Oo nabibighani ako sa lalaking naka-sando at kering keri niya. :)
(4) Those buff arms.- I just want those arms to hug me for the rest of my life.
(5) His expression.- I don't know why but I feel like the expression on his face says a lot about his humor and attitude.

Sorry na, pero kailangan ko lang talagang ilahad tong nararamdaman ko eh.
It made me realize that the perfect guy do exist. haha! charot! :)

It's 4am

Wrote this when I was under the influence of probably one of the weirdest morning I had.

Wall-Art

To explain my random art trips in life...(feeling artist/artistic kasi ako minsan)
I saw this photo in instagram and got inspired by it while I was staring at the bare wall in our room (Yeah, I sleep with my sister). Since it's the sem-break and I have nothing much to do but to see the world and create something out of myself (not literally). I decided to put my scissors, tapes, colored boards out, print some photographs and vandalize a wall. Our room may not have the best interior and those stylish furniture but I love that it is where I feel safe, free, at ease with myself and inspired. Territorial creature over here! haha! :)

Saved a part of my allowance to have these photographs printed out and I am planning to have more of them done but I need cash first. Kinikilig talaga ako pagnakakakita ako ng pictures. :">

while I was doing the letters for the "Live.Laugh.Love" thing...

I used colored corrugated boards, my left-hand, a pencil then had it cut-out. this is the hardest part--- not messing up.

And for the result...*drum roll plss...
tenenenenene...

It is pretty much made out of double-sided tape, idea, inspiration, confidence and time to do it. :)

More photos and random stuff to stick on that wall. :) It was worth it cause I get to stare not on the blank wall anymore but on what I have created. :D Thanks to that instagram photo that gave me the idea, not sorry for copying it. Like what my art.app prof taught us "In the post-modernist art everything is pastiche nothing is really original". Everything is out there all we have to do is turn it into our own, stamp it with our personal imprint.

REJOICE!) so me and my blockmates attended to support our film entries. Congratulations to all the winners by the way. They all deserve it. Thank you to our film theories professor for giving us this opportunity and this awesome experience as comm. arts students.

me and Abby playing with Bern's camera while prepping up at Abby's dorm.

They said we had to wear a cocktail dress for the event, since I am not one good follower I ended up wearing this. First time to wear this kind of pants. I like it cause I look tall.

Here are the posters of the participating films from (UST, FEU, San Sebastian)

Oo nga pala our film entry is "Krayola"...

The Cherry on top:
Krayola won the "Best in Screenplay" award which I don't think our team really expected. That's why super shout kami when we heard our film title being called. Todo papicture din kami sa trophy. hahah! That's AB (with the maong type of polo cover up), our film director "Super Auteur" yan. :) Hinliliit Productions is so happy! yey! :) *handshake to all my group mates. :)

Not Pin-up

08-24-2012 (liquid pool and bar h2O then seaside moa)
I was not really wearing my red heels on that night. I was actually too lazy to wear those kind of shoes so I hid my black heels inside my bag and wore slippers instead. haha! :)

So my awesome friend (jayvee) wore the red ones instead and see that lazy girl on her side that's me feeling so comfy. :)

In the end, we both gave up we figured our feet needed a little more loving so here we are "happy girls with happy feet"
